1. Drawings do not show everything

It can also reveal practical issues that may not be obvious on drawings.
2. Test before you repeat
A small technical issue in one piece of furniture can usually be corrected easily.
The same issue repeated across 300 rooms becomes a completely different problem.

3. Create the production standard
Once approved, the prototype should become more than a sample.
It can establish the reference for materials, dimensions, construction methods, finishes, hardware and critical detailsused throughout production.
This gives manufacturing and quality-control teams a clear benchmark against which serial units can be evaluated.
4. Use prototyping for value engineering
The prototype stage is also an opportunity to optimize the product.
Before serial production begins, engineering teams can evaluate whether construction can be simplified, components standardized or materials optimized without changing the intended appearance.
For a large hotel development, improvements made at this stage can have a significant effect on cost, production efficiency and installation.
